About First Choice Auto Repair Crest Hill, IL
First Choice Auto Repair is a family-owned and operated repair shop in Crest Hill, IL. We opened in October of 2012 and we really struggled the first few months. Bill decided he had to do something different to help our business take off, so he decided to allow customers to bring their own parts. Melissa thought it was a crazy idea and it would never work, but she was wrong. Bill rolled a sign out to the front of the building that said, “Bring Your Own Parts” and from that day, business picked up. We are the first shop in the area to allow customers to bring their own parts. We do supply parts to those customers that don’t want the task of finding and purchasing their parts. We pride ourselves in providing quality repairs at a fair price.
First Choice Auto Repair stresses the importance of preventative maintenance to our customers. Simple things like oil changes, coolant flushes, and regular inspections will keep your vehicle on the road for a long period of time and avoid costly and untimely breakdowns.

- The technician performed a digital inspection and sent to customer. The driver's side rear sway bar link is missing and the passenger side has play. The driver's side door handle is broken. There are multiple engine, power steering fluid and transmission leaks. We cannot pinpoint the cause of the leaks without having the undercarriage steam cleaned because there is too much fluid under there. There are two engine codes present, one is for the downstream oxygen sensor and the other is for the ECM/PCM. The ECM code could be coming on due to the bad oxygen sensor. We need to replace the oxygen sensor, clear the codes, drive the vehicle and see if the other code comes back. Customer was advised.
